squalane
A stabilized form of squalene (naturally found in the skin) that hydrates and softens the skin without clogging pores.
Stearic Acid
Fatty acid that serves as an emulsifier and thickener.
sun protection factor
Level of product protection against UVB rays, which cause skin sunburn.
Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate
Chelating agent that helps stabilize product formulations.
Tocopherol
Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
Trehalose
A natural sugar that helps hydrate the skin and protects it from stress and damage.
UVA
Ultraviolet A rays penetrate deep into the skin, causing premature aging, dark spots, and contributing to the risk of skin cancer. They are active year-round, even through glass.
UVB
Ultraviolet B rays cause sunburn, promote the production of vitamin D, but also increase the risk of skin cancer. They are most intense in summer and do not penetrate glass.
